This weekend was great. Here are a few highlights :
- Friday night at Austin's historical Broken Spoke. Who knew I could 2-step?
- Friday I also found out that I would be spending the next 4 months on an intense brigade of traction and adjustment to correct a major structural issue in my spine. Good news is that it is correctible. Bad news is it will hurt a lot and cost a lot. Please be in prayer for me to have God's strength during this tough process. His endurance would be AWESOME!
- Saturday morning I spent 2 hours reading the book "No Perfect People Allowed" next to the brand new Spanish Oaks pool.
- Saturday night, my roommate David and I went and hit golf balls at the Spanish Oaks driving range and played a few holes. Since my roomie is a professional golfer and has won the US Amateur and the John Deere Classic, it was great to get his input on my golf swing...Which is basically like learning from scratch!
- Sunday morning worship at Lake Hills Church was the best it has ever been. I am not exaggerating.
- Went to lunch with a few friends at El Arroyo after church.
- Sunday night was incredible. David flew out to Memphis and I decided I would attempt to put into practice what he taught me about his golf swing. He had an indoor driving range built into our garage, so I swung the sticks for a little bit...until I shanked one and the ball riqocheted back and hit me in the shoulder. Golf ball dimple indentions will definitely leave a mark.
And that is my weekend highlights. I hope your weekend was as great as mine.
